On Monday, April 23rd, we will have a Preview Day where all students will come with their class to the Book Fair, sniff out the selection, and create their Wish List.

On Tuesday, April 24th, we will be open from 7:15 am until 3:15 pm.  Book Fair will be open for sales.

On Wednesday, April 25th.  We will be open from 7:15 am until 3:15 pm. We welcome adults to treat themselves to lunch with their child then stop by the Book Fair to do some TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK shopping by purchasing a book to honor your child’s teacher.

On Thursday, April 26th the library will host P.E.T.S, (Parents Eating Tasty Sweets)!  Students are encouraged to invite the “faithful friend” in their life (a parent, grandparent, favorite aunt or uncle, etc.) to stop by the book fair for a breakfast treat and shopping. We will be open from 7:15 am until 3:15 pm.

FRIDAY  the Dog Park Closes! SALES FROM 7:15-9:00 a.m. ONLY.

College and Career Week

April 30-May 4

This is a time where students in Texas think about their future. Education does not stop after high school. It can continue through college, vocational schools, or military training. At LOE, we will celebrate Education Go Get it Week during the week of April 30-May 4th.



Get tied up in your education!

Wear a tie or bow!



Crazy about getting an education!

Wear crazy socks!



Texans are college bound!

Wear Western or any Texas college clothing!



You can’t hide from a great education!

Wear camouflage!



Represent your favorite college!


volunteer 2If you plan to be a Watch D.O.G., go on a field trip, volunteer in the classroom, or work with students, you must complete the online application AND receive approval. Online Volunteer Application. Watch D.O.G.s please also complete this Online Form as well.





Some helpful tips to remember when submitting your volunteer application:

  1. Please complete entire form.
  2. Select the school(s) where you would like to volunteer (you can choose more than one school).
  3. Please make sure that you click the SUBMIT button.
